TENDER THREADS, CHRISTINA RANKIN AND EUGENIE GULLIFER-LAURIE 2026
This exhibition finds the common threads in two artists’ practices, weaving together their respective experiences of neurodiversity, bodily autonomy, gendered expectations, and the complexity of a selfhood shaped by institutional systems. In both Eugenie and Christina’s works, the human form is simultaneously an embodiment of normative standards and restrictive ideologies, and a site of gentle protest against them. Across the two bodies of work, the artists question the boundary between internal and external, using mixed materials to merge tactile and corporeal subjects with the invisible sensations and emotions they experience.
